Yeah mate the BF came out with stronger rods etc.

I have heard mixed stories about the factory bottom end when power goes beyond 300kw. Some seem to be ok while others break.

For now im pretty happy with what I have. Breaking traction through 1,2,3 is keeping me satisfied for now :D
 
trust me steve u'll get bored of it quick as!! happened to me with my ss, i wanna get a skyline now and boost it off it's tits!

Anyone would get bored with an SS. Not a XR6 Turbo with this many ponies but nowhere to gallop.

You should hear the Skyline R33 that is literally parked 6 metres away from my bedroom. When just running normally, it has an ear defening noise to it. It also has one of those tings which keeps the engine running even after the car is off so at 10 a night it wakes you up for a long time.

I agree with you that its almost guaranteed that you will get used to the power,but you cant compare a ss or a skyline to an XR6T. The XR6T is by far the best performance bang for buck car in australia in the last five years! That being said,the skyline GTR is a different story.

dude, all i godda do is stroke it rebuild bottom end wack a 286 cam in it, and i'll be pushing well over 300rwkw, i just cant be bothered lol! i goin boost with my next car

Do you take yours to the track mate?

I might start upgrading some more if I decide to go down that route.

It would be way too tempting to use the power knowing that its there. I just cannot risk that especially since im on my Ps. I'm not really the hoon type either.
