New catfish!

Picked this sturio catfish up while visiting family in Minnesota. Talked to the owner and he said that he’s had the catfish for over a yr in his shop and no one was interested in it, but I definitely was. Seen it there the last time I was there in October 2017 was surprised it was still there. Owner told me it’s feeding on cut tilapia so that’s a plus. Love the super long whiskers and constantly swimming. 6” long

This looks to me like a Platysilurus mucosus instead of a Platystomatichthys sturio. Snout is shorter and less tapered.

Blackbullhead hit it on the snout. This is no foxface catfish. It's a Platysulurus mucosus (we don't seem to get the much larger-growing P. malarmo in the trade at all).
