New catfishes!

IDK if this is a trait of piebald fishes. I've never owned one and I've not seen enough of them.

In general, cloudy eyes can be either due to water (the fish may be getting used to new water or the water is too hard or something else is unsuitable with it, pH for instance), or some type of a problem - bacterial infection or something lacking in the diet, certain vitamin or mineral.

If it behaves well and shows no other problem symptoms, eats well, then I'd just observe closely and not worry yet.

I've not heard of cataracts in fish except some people thinking that some of their very old fishes (e.g., 25-30 year old synos http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=30928 ) have them but I'd like to learn more for sure.

The fish has always had this colouration in its eyes though... This is a photo of it about 1.5 years ago

Right but color and clarity are two different things. Color is on the iris. Clarity is a property of the lens.
