Yep, that's the one.

you lucky dog, Ive been eying this guy for a bit, too bad we can't have turtles here :(

good luck with him hes very cool

Nice turtle! I have one of these guys, mine spent about a month being shy, but now its a finger chasing rascal :P Mine seems to be a particularly good swimmer for the species, too.

If its a wild caught individual, how long has it been in captivity? Including time at the pet store. In warm water (above the low 20's) newly imported individuals are prone to fungus...

It's been in captivity for a number of years apparently. He actually developed a bout of skin fungus within a day of me getting him (you can see a bit on the front right leg in the pics I posted, I didn't notice right away). Fortunately, I brushed it off and treated with Acriflavine and it's all disappeared. Tank's 67-71 degrees. Mine comes over every morning for food.

Oh, then your tank is actually cooler than mine since in summer it can get over 20 degrees at times...How many inches of water do you give it? I give mine 6, with driftwood and plastic plants for resting spots

4-5, the tank is bare-bottom though (I wanted to keep it sterile in case the fungus was difficult to beat).

Would love to try my luck at these guys one day. But I wont setle at keeping, I want try to breed them as well. There to rare to simply keep.

Apparently they are very aggressive, makes breeding potentially an expensive disaster.
