Well, after reading and hearing everything from Don Conkel is the best supplier of New world cichlids to he is a complete crook I decided to just talk to Don myself and form my own opinion. He has had several fish on his list that I have been interested in for quite sometime so I figured I would shoot him an email and see what happens. My email was responded to quickly and over the course of about 3 weeks we had numerous emails back and forth and a few phone calls and I felt confident enough to place an order. Don informed me that he was going to Columbia for a week so we waited to ship the order until he got back incase I wanted to add any of the new fish to my order. I'm a small purchase for a wholeseller and Don spent probably close to 1hr of phone time and at least 10 emails on me. I told him what I wanted and he promised me that I would be more then happy and that he would deliver top quality healthy fish.

I have to say that Don delivered on his word and then some. Several of the fish are substantially larger then what I paid for and all of them are in excellent health.

Please excuss my terrible photography skills. If I could afford Mo, I would pay him to come take some pics;).

P. Catemaco Lago Catemaco Sexed trio (I order 7" fish)
Male this fish was 11":WHOA: He is a huge guy. A really nice orange and white with a little black. What a monster. I really like this fish

Female 9.5" This one is mostly white with a lot of black flecks and slight orange hue in a few spots

Female 7.5" This is a great tri colored female with lots of orange black and white

And the main reason for the order
V. Regani Nanchatal sexed trio (I ordered 7" fish)
Male 9.5" this is the nicest fish I own by far. The pictures do no justice. Tons of green and pink. Just a stunning big fish

Female 7.5" can't stress enough how nice these Regani are

So there is a successful order. Everything was delivered as promised and I am stunned by the quality of the Regani and size of the Catemaco. The Argentea are really nice as well but it is hard to not just drool over the Regani. The umbee's look very much like what Rapps imported not long ago but just a little bigger. They are going to be real monsters in a year.

Overall I can not say that I have ever been more happy with an order then this one. Don definately took care of me. I know several of you have had your issues in the past but I did not experience any of these.

Thanks for the excellent fish and wasting as much time on me as you did Don. I greatly appreciate it.

fish look awesome !!!!!!

let me know when you are ready to get rid of the Argentea :D

I am considering switching to CA as i think with my high PH and hard water it would fit them better.

 I'm drooling over the Regani too. In tank shots are a must.

I had great experience with Don also. The 2 juvi Regani I got are growing very nice and are about 4" now. Please post more pics once they get settled in. I would love to see what they are going to look like when they get bigger.

Thanks everyone. All of the fish are nice but the Regani just are unreal. They really just blow everything else alway. They are in a 600g pond at the moment but will be moved to a 125g in a couple weeks when I get some fish cleared out. When I move them I'll get some tank shot posted.

Very nice. IME my fish from Don come in bigger than advertised. Watch out for the fenestratum though. Probably the most aggro CA I've kept. I'm getting some Bartoni and Grammodes next week via Don. Don't take this the wrong way but you're gonna need a MUCH bigger tank VERY soon for all those fish. Otherwise expect casualties.
