I really like the new style air lifts Stephan has, they move a considerable amount of water compared to DIY PVC ones.

I can't wait to get them, I found some DIY ones online but figured would be better to just buy these and toss them on. Should be here by Fri, coming from MN to KY

Wow, that was fast!! They are pricey compared to DIY PVC but they definitely move some water and they are quieter, at least to me.
 
Would this same setup work with power heads behind the foam instead of using air? All the tanks look great! Is the Botia that's going through a color morph a tiger?
 
Yea you can use air or water, there are setups of both on youtube and swiss tropicals sell water pumps but I opted for air for now. I was told its something else, looks like a tiger but this one has a ton of spots, the ones that were actually tigers only had the stripes, I will have to look it up.
 
Would you say this set up uses lets electricity than a traditional canister/hob set up ?
