Yep it's a female Cr. johanna. The black band is typically very obvious but yours is probably stressed. Great pick up by the way. Where did you get her? I'm also looking for pikes at the moment.

how do i tell bw male and female?

The presence of a submarginal white stripe in the dorsal means female (males don't have white in the dorsal and caudal fins). Another indicator is the absence of striations along the sides (only males have them). The most obvious female sign is of course a pink belly.
