Lol sorry I have to add something: the striations are not a very good indicator of sex actually; hence their presence on your pike. A white band in the dorsal and caudal fins are sure signs of feminity though. As for colouration, yes, males and females are pretty much the same except for the white stripe and pink belly in females.
