well i was just wondering if when you guys got your cresteds if they ate the first few days or if they had to aclimate a bit,didnt mean to be a pain.

Let He/she acclimate Jason. lol. If he/she doesnt eat within the next day or so spoon feed. and if you have VERY small crickets then put the gecko and the crix in a jar and let the lil one go to work. Dont cover the jar though, put it in a dim place and monitor the geko and the 1 or 2 crix you have with.

You are blaming a breeder for ignorance on your part? :irked:

Where did you get your geckos from?
Did you not house them seperately at first, and then after a single months time introduce them and monitor them closely?
 
well its already been 3 days so just to see what happend i tried what the shop was using.Peach baby food,p u,lol,i put some calcium in it and it licked it off the spoon for about 45 seconds and then quit.Maybe its all he wanted.Ill try the crix in a jar in a few days.I take it babies got tinny tummies so maybe thats all he needed.

I was told that it was okay to co-house them in the same enclosure. They lived like this since November. Now, the other breeders said I should had separated them at least a month or two ago since they would be at the age where territorial aggression would be kicking in, despite the advice of the breeder that I followed. None of the literature mentioned this. So, is it my fault for thinking they could be co-housed? Yes. Is it my faut for not doing a background check? Yes. Is it my fault for trusting the guy as a friend, rather than a self-opinionated hobbyist? Yes.

I tong-feed them bugs, well as leave a food dish of crickets, grubs and so on along with a dish of fruit mix. However apparently the stress of being dominated made the digestion process difficult or non-existent. The funny thing when I got back to him about it, he said: "Ah well, babies and juvies die randomly." :confused::irked::WHOA:

Anyway, it just a forewarning for people who house their geckos together. Also, just because it is eating, it doesn't means it is digesting properly. Anyway Jason, glad to hear your gecko's doing well.
 
well i hope he is,it ate for a bit out of the spoon but thats all i can tell.I just want to spoil it and give it a good little life.LIVE!!!!!LIVE I SAY!!!Hopefully it will start eating more in front of me and i can relax and actualy enjoy my purchase,lol.
