In The Jungle
Thinking about keeping an array of angelfish OR discus with my ray and polys once I rehome my achara catfish.

Thinking id go lightly planted so the ray won't do too much damage. I know discus are pricey and angels veiltails will get eaten by my polys or ray? Or will the discus and angels nip at my ray?

Is this combination doable? Ray, 3 polys (endle endli, ornate, weeksi) royal pleco and rafael cat with either discus or angels. Open to better ideas as well

I Wouldn't put expensive ass discus in any situation where they have a chance of getting killed or mutilated, but I don't have money to blowon taking a risk like that. I don't have exp. With rays or ploys though.

Agreed.
However, my polys aren't large enough to eat a decent sized discus 5" should be ok. And the rays mouth is about half inch to 3/4" atm. Someone warned me the ray could just pounce a fish but id have to see that happed to a flat discus. I'm willin to try 1-2 cheaper ones just tryna see if its been done. I'm thinking long term so id get a handful n the ray with polys n plec.

moba frontosa are really really pretty. that or 7 stripes. you could keep like a trio of haps in there too.

Can I ask what your ph is cos if it's low like it should be with rays a frontosa won't be very happy with that I have wild frontosa and my ph in that tank is 8.9-9.1 and my discus tank is set at 6.5 and looking at adding rays in with them also have geo's in with them and are all happy i would go with any of the geo's

Ahh. Yes, my ph is usually low 6.4ish because of the large driftwood. So +1 discus.
