new DIY driftwood

umm I am not sure on that piece of wood. It deff looks cool, but looks awfull fresh and still has all the bark on it. In the research I did, most everywhere you look people say look for wood with little to no bark remaining. Also it looks as if those trees are in a cummunity setting and chances are pretty good that they have had chemicals sprayed on or near them for pests and other things. You would be alot better off going to a more remote location where there is not alot of people to screw the wood up with toxins.

i would only go with wood i was certain about..hard wood.. through ID... not worth quessing about... too much work involved and time to lose your fish after all that.... let me know how it goes..
