sooooo, just how active are you guys on the rest of the board? I pretty much check in here first and then read around different threads. Alot of the people on this site know much much more than I do when it comes to keeping a given species of fish so I just sit back and learn without saying much. What about you?

I get active in the stingray forum and will chime in on forums if someone needs help with arows or tank problems.

i give them blood worms. flake food, shrimp, silversides. krill. :( if thats not varied then i suck as a hobbiest.

i also now think one of my black neons has ich. but only him so far...or im just paranoid. i threw in salt and raised the temp in my community tank to above 80

is that good

What about Nitrate? I've seen you mention recently that Ammonia and Nitrite were 0 but Nitrate could also be the cause of this. When was your last major water change? Any change in the amount of flashing/rubbing? What's in your magnum 350?

ill do the nitrate test now. i think my api test kit is screwed on the nitrate end. flashing has gone down. i really dont think they have it. last major water change was prob 3 days ago. 50 percent. 2 days before that was a t 25%. ill have to ask Lbelcher whats in the magnum. i havent changed it since i got it from him.

well based on that test... the color stayed yellow. which i believe means 0 nitrates. which is most likely impossible.

I'd get some test strips that have nitrate on them just to use as a comparison to whatever else your testing with. I know they're much more expensive than the liquid testing kits but they're a helpful tool to make sure your regular test kit is accurate.

what else can i do this test on to see some kind of nitrates? what can i use in the house that has a lot of nitrates so i can test this test

aj, i was only kidding about the 404, it aint even worth 100, haha, and i dont think it be any help on a tank that monsterous.

riggs I will be having a 55g sump completed set up that it come with my 220g tank that im plan not to keep or use. If you interested let me know so i can give you a price on it.

it will have overflow, pump, bio balls, other media, etc....will fit easily under your 135g.
