Ok, so it's still alive then. What have you been feeding it? They need a lot of calcium to keep their shells hard too, not sure what the best source of calcium would be...anyone?

how deep did it go in?
how did you remove it?
Do you have a QT tank available?
snap a pic of the wound.

it is my favorite male motoro with all the spots.
it went threw the ray
i pulled it out with long tweezers
i can not even see a mark where it was
he is hanging on.

Keep it in a hard water tank. All the calcium in the world doesn't help my snails...my water's too soft for them to make up for it with diet. My only apple snails still living are in my African tanks.

Yes, the stingers replace themselves and fall off naturally every few months.
 
most of the time you can leave the barb in and it'll work it's way out.

i hope it didn't hit any vitals, if not he should pull through
