NH Craigslist 20" Alligator Gar $50

hey, Sea World Pet Center in Salem, NH just told me that alligator gars are illegal, and that's why they can't carry them or take any in. Is this true??

who told you that? it's legal here. i just look it up..it only illegal in warm water states.

I emailed him about it, too, asking him what he got offered for his cuz I've got one that's about the size of his that I'm looking to get rid of, but he was kind of a jerk... he lectured me about how rare they are and how his would easily go for $200 at his size, and that it wasn't an ordinary gar that i may have dealt with in the past... he didn't believe me that i had one that was the same size as his, so I emailed him a picture of mine to prove it. he then told me that sea world pet center was going to be giving him $150 store credit for his, so i called to ask if they'd be willing to take my gar in as well, and that's when they told me that they can't take gars cuz they're "illegal". so i emailed him back about what they said, and he said that he was an exception to the rule, because his father has been the manager there for 10 years...
