yea im interested i might just put it in storage and wait to see what happens with all my tanks next year when i go to college, and how many tanks, and how big of a tank i can keep at my cousins

I had a killer deal on a 8ft. 180 last week with stand, you should've jumped on it----was asking only $200 for board members, and ended up selling it for $250 through craiglist (still a steal of a deal, was asking $300 there)

Is this a DIY wet/dry filter? Is it ghetto?

It's a factory filter, don't know the brand name. Not ghetto at all but it does not have a drip plate.

I keep telling myself that they wouldnt sell these things if they werent safe........................right?
Now I have around 300lbs of rock (not really sure how much I will use) to add more weight to the stand. I even thought of reinforcing the stand but I am not sure that it would be possible seeing how it is built.
Do I have anything to worry about?

It's probably ok but think you should get some advice on reinforcing that thing, rathern than looking at it everyday, wondering whether it will hold.

Yeah I really wanted ray for quite a while just need a bigger tank.But I do want to see your setup sometime or even give you a hand when you bring the large tank home.
