Depends on whether he wants the wet/dry. I don't have room for more fish until the 125 is cycled.

Morning everyone!

Got the 210 filled last night...held my breath that there would be no leaks (don't really know why I was worried, but I was). Got one of the filters I got with the tank going, as well. All is GOOD!

The filter is a big Cascade...whatever the largest of them is. What an awful piece of crap. I thought for sure I was going to break those stupid screw flanges that you use to tighten the hoses to the canister head. It was easy to prime, but yikes...awful, awful plastics.

Good to hear it's up and running, can't wait to see pics when it's all set up. I've got several cascade canisters and although I agree with you that they're not top quality products, I haven't broken one yet, they've been working well for me so far, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

That's good to hear. I figure I only have to put on the hoses once, so it should be OK. Ultimately, I won't run that filter once I've got my sump up and running. The 55 gal that the pikes are in now is eventually going to be my sump. But, I can't move them, until I've got this tank cycled and totally up and running...

How often do you find you need to clean them? I clean my Eheims a couple times a year, but my Renas need attention every month or so.
