Tank is 48" x 18" x 21" high/deep (fillable to about 18" deep)
Complete unit with stand, light fixture on top and penguin biowheel filter on back is 49" x 23.5" x 54.25" (rounded up to nearest .25")

most of you guys said for my piranhas..now i have 4 rbp. that a 55 gallon with a 12" depth would be to small. so i started looking for bigger. i dont know anything about lighting. are those good lights? what does she mean by a 3 switch lighting? does that moon light? good i add a moon light bulb? thanks guys!!

one thing i cant tell is if it actually has a hood. it doesnt look like it has a hood. is that a problem with having piranhas?

Sounds like the tank is damaged but it's still a pretty good deal if you're planning on having a planted tank, considering the light. Yes, you definitely need a hood or glass tops for piranhas. Joeytoe makes some sick moonlights.

Oh, if you're keeping piranhas in there, you can't have plants.

I agree with tommy, Id ask to look at it or for close Pictures of the seals, as you should be able to fill it fully. but it sounds like a fair deal since its the entire setup.
