Probably close to a decade or more. The fastest I've heard of them growing is 2" in a year and that's only when they're juveniles and you're constantly powerfeeding. Their growth rate slows down considerably as they mature. Also, the price on this one is so high because it's a Wide Bar Datnoid or Siamese Tiger as opposed to regular bar Indonesian Tiger. ST's are much more expensive because they are much harder to find (banned from export). IT's are still readily available at small sizes so you can grow them out and sell them for a pretty penny, but nowhere near the price that ST's go for.

So lets talk about Dats a bit, there's a person listing one in the classifieds here for $800 saying it's over a foot long. Is that a normal price for a larger animal?? Also how long does it take to grow one out that large?
