Could not wait a few weeks like I said I was going to to make a new thread about my Dovii. I will keep this thread up to date as they grow.I bought three of them a week ago from a member on MFK. I will keep this thread going with up to date pics of my growing Dovii. They are still small I don't know if they can be sexed or not yet but people have told me all are female.with the biggest one being about 3 inches at most "eyeballed". So I have two from the same batch and one small one from a separate batch he is only like 1.5 inches. I am praying for one male and I've already been told they are all female :/ but who cares I'm growing them out till they are 6-7 inches and I will sell them off if all turn out to be female.the smallest one is separated from the two that are from the same batch. The bigger one is beating up on the medium one ATM chasing him around and pushing him with his mouth. Sometimes blue hues can bee seen from the largest one and most of the time the smallest one has blue tinting to his dorsal and bottom two fins his dorsal fin also has light speckling on it. Well here they are

Big one (same batch) 3inches

All measurements are eyeballed

No no pics of the parents but I saw them and the male was blue but the female was yellow with now blue or green the male looked pretty nice I think they are Costa Rican. Why? I'm curious

This one, the biggest one picks on the other ALOT to the point of making the other one idle toward the surface he is from the same batch as him he/she has been bullying a lot lately

Urgent! He you guys just need help real quick with the Dovii. The biggest one is going ham on the medium one in the 180 should I separate them or let them resolve it themselves sorry I've never owned Dovii before normally with other cichlids I've had the aggression dosent start until 6-7 inches and it usually isn't 24/7 so I'm wondering what to do

Separate them. The larger one will just end up killing the other

Home Depot or Lowes, egg crate found in lighting section. You'll want the white 2' x 4' sheet which runs @ $12 you can cut it to the size you need to divide the 180 in half fairly easily. Some of the others have made a pvc frame/stand to hold it and prevent fish from knocking it over. Might as well make it now if you plan to keep the dovii long termand possibly breed them.

My 180 with divider in to keep peacock bass and pleco from eating jag eggs/fry. Oops picture orientated wrong but should be able to get the general idea.

Yeah I have egg crate and I already have a special sized divider for the tank but I have fear that the smaller one will be able to get through the bottom or one of the holes in the side and also i can't breed them like I had planned because people told me they were all female
