ok so later I will be off to the pet store but first I would like to know
If I do get a female how long should I quarintine her and could I house her with the male or would he be a bother to her with relentless mating?
At least for a mouth would be nice, 2 mouths even better;) It gives time to the female to setle and rest. Also it would be better if you did 2 setups just in case things dont work out well bettween them, that can happen. I supose you already know how to sex them rigth? And yes one female with one male can result in a very stressed female:nilly:Thats why many breeders keep them apart except for mating;) One amazing excemption to this that happens both in leos and fat tails is Vicious pair wich has aparently been togeter for a very long time:D

thanks again coura! I really appreciate your help and I might just look to see what other options I have since you recomend having seperate cages
but another thing is I have seen groups of at tails with 2 or 3 female and one male, would this be any better?

You would need a decent sized tank to keep a 1.3 ratio. Preferably a 30 or 40 long. If you were to keep them together. You can get another female but just not right away. And make sure to have a seperate tank ready to seperate.

I have a male now but his wifey passed a couple months ago but they were insepreable! and they didnt try to ,you know*wink*. They were great together though. Just make sure they have their own spot to go to if they choose to want some space away from the other.

More great ideas:D That can in many cases avoid figthing;)

ok so I just saw the coolest thing ever!
so I got home from school and went in to check on him and he was under the fake fern so then I misted the cage whick woke him and he started licking the glass clean which I found hilarious but after that he spotted a crcket that had managed to escape me and him so he just ran at him like a bull
I have never seen anything like it! he ran the entire length of the cage in no more than a 1.5 sec and of course he got him and stood there chomping on the cricket

I am loving this guy more and more every day

Sweet:D I however dont think you have to or should mist the cage (but dont worry it aint no big deal);) Keep a small water conteinar and a corner moist and thats it:)
