The reason I think it looks like a female in that picture is the darker forward half and red rear portion of the dorsal fin. It could just be a shadow or camera angle maybe.

. Also, yeah thats a shadow, I was assured it was male and its covered in the light blue color. Ill get some better pics later of him/her in the tank, probably tomorrow. I have only had him an hour and a half, and I agree he looks really skinny. His stomach is sunken in a little bit. I wanna say he has been in captivity for almost a year. The guy has been raised in captivity since a baby, which makes me think that hes prolly an F1, but again I was told wildcaught.
