Also, yeah thats a shadow, I was assured it was male and its covered in the light blue color.

defiantly a male, they'll show darker colors on their dorsal when stressed. when I had two males divided in the same tank the sub dominant would display female characteristics, darker dorsal and bars, but when he went in the 125 with my jardini and friends it was a totally different fish.
