Can't tell from the pics. If it's really worrying you, then net it and get a shot of the fins on macro.

As an aside, did you get that red female from ccooler yet? The one that JP "dephotoshopped" for you.

nope. i traded it for this one. i decided not to get the female because it had hardkok and was photoshopped. So i just gave up another 25 bucks and traded it for this one...now i'm looking for a female. That's why i'm selling the red dragon fry.

Ah, I see. When you snap the pic of this guy's fins, take a few of the RD fry too :D
 
I highly doubt it's fin rot. Flowerhorn change colors with their moods, and he just had a long trip. your on the right track. Give him some TLC and keep his tank nice and clean and he'll be fine soon. Your keeping a good eye on him, you'll notice if he gets sick. Is the actual tail tissue look infected or anyting? Is the actual tissue "rotting" away? IF not don't worry about it just yet.
