Also they love almond leaves in the tank...I had one large leaf in the front of the tank and he would sit under it and nab any fish that swam by...and also loved ghost shrimp.
Great info indeed! I will definitely try the ghost shrimp soon. It seems to like rosies but my ATFs pretty much scarf them before they can settle on the bottom (even after I load them with market shrimp to discourage them from doing so). I've tried market shrimp w/the Chaca as well as beefheart to no avail...yet. It did grab an earthworm only to spit it out moments later.
frustrating. Also my Chaca cat has claimed the lives of (2) 3" ID Sharks over the past 2 weeks. One it ate and the other was spit out after sucking on it for an hour. I keep thinking I'm going to wake up one morning to see an ATF's tail sticking out of it's mouth.
I would DIE!! So fair warning, you may end up with a missing fish (or more). These guys come to play when the lights go out.
