I understand, but whatever goes. Just tell your gf who is going to buy you a 55 to get you a 50 instead of a 55. It would help you much better in the long run here...seriously. Lets keep this thread clean and lets not turn it into a ball of flame.

ive never had a texas before :(

I'm sorry, I just jumped into the 'noob' conclution.
If you've never owned a texas, or Rt before, then you are a noob to RT, owing a RT might be different than any thing else such as JD. My comment just meaned that before any one looks for tank mates for RT, should have experience with RT before even thinking of it.

Waaa that was her!!! I didn't look at it!!! Gonna go check now! Thanks for the heads up! :D

If your gf is going to get a 55, then it will be better to get a 75 as it is deeper to accommodate the fish getting bigger.

Red Texas basic requirement is just like any other fish, clean water, lots of space, and good food.

55 and 75 is a big jump on price difference. Very big jump...being as young as he is. I don't think his gf is willing to get a 75. But if if possible, 75 would be nicer than a 50.

my job i can go upwards as $500 for a tank an it not bother me. anything higher then that would hurt one of my checks. an yea we found a 235 gallon for $250 but it was in another state. lol i mean for my ps3 an xbox 360 setups im prolly lookin at $1,400 lol
