Just got some new fish! I'm picking them up on Saturday. I purchased the following fish from an established 75 gallon reef someone was selling on Craigslist: 1 Copperband Butterfly, 2 Pomacentrus Damsels (probably alleni), 1 Spotted Mandarin, and 1 Purple Firefish! Best part was that they were only 50 dollars! So excited! :nilly: :nilly: :nilly: :nilly: :nilly: :nilly:

.....ther's an ora manadrin in live aquaria's divers ben... eating frozen foods.

ora means?

ORA=Oceans, Reefs and Aquariums :

ora breeds fish,....... like clowns they came out with semi picassos, picassos, midnight, platinum ETC......

not just clown they breed fish that typically dont eat frozend and pellet etc to eat that types of food.

they also do corals and etc.

Picking them up tommorrow morning! I'm just hoping he didn't already sell them. He said he'd hold them but I just don't know for sure so I'll call ahead before I go. I might also get some Chaetomorpha and some zoanthids as well while I'm there.

BTW, the butterfly is eating a variety of foods and has been in captivity for 2 years now. My tank currently has a 30 gallon refugium (being upgraded to a 55 gallon refugium soon) filled with pods, as well as around 200-250 lbs of Live Rock in the main tank. I think the mandarin will be fine.
All the fish in his tank have been living in there for about 2 years.

So the guy called me this morning and told me he decided not to sell anything at all. I was kinda bummed. Then, to make matters worse, my dad and I discovered that the stand is rotting on my tank! :eek: We were planning on tearing it down soon in a few weeks anyways, so I can replace the crushed coral with sand, as well as adding the bigger refugium.

The good news is that we will be building the new stand for the tank, as well as a matching canopy. With the new canopy I will be able to keep any corals I want, because the new LED fixtures will fit inside the hood we will be building.

Even though I didn't get the fish, and my stand is rotting, I am still happy, because I'll be able to have the SPS I've always wanted.
