new fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
sorry for my freqint mind changing and so i will wait until i move out in a couple months and the one by one save up for the the tanks but so i know how much to save up how big of a tank would i need for 2 Peacock an Achara cat a Marbled Sailfin cat and a Juruense cat

Provided that you are talking about smaller peacock bass, 240 or 300 gallon for the long term...used, I would plan for an initial investment of $2500, pending what Craigslist deal you can get...brand new every thing will run 4k min, you can cut down cost on the new if you build your own stand.

ok guys guess what... i upgraded my tank to a 105g

current stock: 3 pictus catfish, (all 6in.), 3 clown loaches (all 5in.), 2 suncats (7.5in. and 6.5in.), and a lima shovelnose (7in.)

want to add: 2 ompok catfish, 4-line pim, gold dust bichir, delhezi bichir, polypterus palmas palmas, and a polypterus polli

in case you were wondering about my filtration i have 3 canister filters : 2 100g filters and a 50g filter

so what do you guys think?

We have met before. They closed your thread for the same reason this thread has gone into: zigzags. You can stop with your current stock. If you badly want them, upgrade to at least a 200G.

Im suprised this thread hasnt been closed yet, exact copy of the last thread lol why did you upgrade from a 100g to a 105g? That does nothing for you aside from having another tank laying around which wont house half these momsters in the long run. SAVE up, for like a year or two then buy a massive tank. And in all honesty, a 300g tank is too much work for a 13yr old not to mention the costs. Im pretty sure your parents wont appreciate their power bill sky rocketing either once this is in place. There are more things to consider with big tanks other than space and fish. I had to cut down on my tanks because of the cost to have a bunch of large tanks running. Even now, the wife still nags me to downsize because of all the time I spend working on them + the costs.

Its great to see a young member being so enthusiastic about the hobby, but you need to take a bit and seriously consider the reality of your "plans".
