Where should I put the new fishroom? I will have all 75 gallon tanks with double stands. If I use the bedroom I would have to keep my 180 gallon double stack setup in the living room. If I use the garage as a fishroom I could put the 180 double stack with all the 75s, which my wife would like. One drawback to the garage is that it has our lawnmowers and tools etc there as well. The bedroom is about 10'x12'. What do you think is the best option?

garage cause of cement fllors.Bedroom if it has cement floor.
You could always build a tool shed for the lawnmower and stuff.

I'm for keeping things in the house where they can be more easily enjoyed all year long. Plus, if you like the sounds, all the noise can help you sleep. Not to mention being able to drift off to sleep after hours of zoning in front of your tanks.

I vote garage as well. The Bedroom would get annoying with all the noise and let's face it...you bring someone "special" home and they see your room surrounded by fish tanks and stands, they're not going to think it's cool unless it looks like a public aquarium display, but they'll probably think you're a bit...strange.

I already get this with the double 180 stack in the living room. Then they go to my bedroom where I have an 8'x2' 240, a 75, 20, and a 10. Then they hit my sons room where he has a 75. Then they hit the garage area and see 2 55s and a couple of 30s. Don't get me wrong my house is about 2700 sq feet not including the garage, so it is a tad roomy, but I do look like white trash. Every time someone comes over they think I'm some kind of weirdo.

This is one of the main reasons that I like mine inside the house. I'm just worried now, because its getting pretty bad. They are going to call me the weird fish guy in the neighborhood.

+1

how many tanks all together?

Currently I have the below. I had 4 55 gallon tanks that I recently sold and one 40 gallon that sold.

8' 240g
2 180g
2 75g
2 55g
2 30g
2 10g

I would like to add the below list though.

Another 180 gallon and maybe two to four more 75 gallon tanks. These would be on a double stand.

I had another idea. I have an entire finished room above my garage. The only problem is that there isn't a water faucet up there. Another problem would be that I couldn't get huge tanks up there, but I could do a ton of 75 gallon or smaller tanks??? What do you think about this option.
