New Fishroom - Garage or Bedroom????

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Only prob I see is weight-room above (unless u have that handled), I vote garage but u need to install a urinal and keg fridge.

Looks like most everyone is going with the garage. I could put a shed up, but my neighborhood has some strict covenants. I would have to pay about $6,000 to put a shed up, so I will have to live with the junk in the shed if I go that route.

I vote garage as well. The Bedroom would get annoying with all the noise and let's face it...you bring someone "special" home and they see your room surrounded by fish tanks and stands, they're not going to think it's cool unless it looks like a public aquarium display, but they'll probably think you're a bit...strange.

are you kidding? there is nothing sexier than the soft romantic glow of a Hagen Powerglo bulb.

the T8's are chick magnets.

This is one of the main reasons that I like mine inside the house. I'm just worried now, because its getting pretty bad. They are going to call me the weird fish guy in the neighborhood.

Who cares what other people think!! At least you have a life and a killer hobby! :headbang2

:ROFL:haha deff garage, ive had plenty of chicks say " whats with all the fish tanks" and it was kind of sad..... lol

Throw away all your yard stuff, hire a lawn service and convert garage into a kickin man/fish room. Kegorator big screen and tanks. My wife likes to think we are not white trash, just white clutter!

I would think that having them inside the house would be more enjoyable for sitting and watching fish. Does your garage have AC? Get rid of the yard stuff and move in some comfy chairs for fish watching!

I would say garage as well, but how well is it insulated? What about the summer time when its 90F-100F outside? Winter time when its 30F-50F?

Unless you can afford to run expensive chillers and have a few large fans it's going to be difficult. You also might need a few heaters in 1 tank just for the winter time.
