New flowerhorn isn't eating NLS

I have been feeding Southern Delight and I am very pleased with the results. I have noticed that my gravel vacs are way cleaner than before when I was using other fish foods.

Omega one is the last brand I was thinking of trying, since the NLS/Hikari were a no-go. I've been feeding freeze-dried krill, frozen blood worms and frozen mysis shrimp for the last few days and he seems to be ok. I still try and toss pellets to be sneaky but hell chew for a second and spit out.

Can a fish be raised and thrive on a diet without pellets?

I was debating the starving method but since he is still a baby I don't want to hinder his growth by starving him for a week.

No, to have a healthy aquarium fish needs to be on a pellet. I personally advise you to feed frozen foods likes bloodworms, brineshirmp, etc till its around 5 inches and able to be starved without any health repercussions
