He is finally here! As usual, major trouble with shipping. He was 2 days late, almost all of his water leaked from the bag and his water was filthy. He is not hiding, he’s actually exploring the tank a bit. He is aware of me being in front of him which is good. He has some damaged pectoral fins, my question is should I dose salt, Melafix or maybe both? View attachment 1423743

Nope no meds. Just time and pristine water quality. Maybe do some extra water changes.

HybridFinatic I did a water change last night before he was added. I added some salt just to get some electrolytes back into him since I know he has not eaten in over a week. I don’t plan to feed him for a couple of days and just let him settle in. I’m leaving for vacation today and a friend will be watching him while I’m gone. When I get home he will get a big water change. He was supposed to be here two days ago so I could get him acclimated and make sure he was healthy before I left on vacation

Update: after my 5 day vacation, I came home to a happy healthy little guy (my neighbor came and fed him almost every day). His nuchal hump has come back, his split fin has healed and he is eating!! Next is deworming him and working on grooming him, hopefully I can get more color out of his and hopefully some of the pearling will spread.

P.s. sorry for the poor quality pictures. I had to screenshot them from a video I took of him tonight since I cannot post videos. Will get better pictures soon!

Cohazard i like him a lot so far, just ready to see how he will turn out. I think he still has quite a bit of coloring up to do!
