And your point being? I drop money on fish and you are still selling illegal turtles.

Oh, basking stand for your FRT....classic.:thumbsup:

As many cars you own then I own fish you would at lease....AT LEASE use the "INTERNET" to care for your turtle. Buying FRT's that small is still Illegal given proof that they are CB.

It's not a basking stand guy told me it is nice for them to have a resting plat form

FRT only go on land to breed so no need for basking anything. Just more water volume since they produce a lot of waste and good filtration

You don't really need a lot of money to own one even on cites II as long as you dont openly show your pets to strangers or are conmercially selling them. Been owning cites II pets for a long time and no one has bothered us about it.

*Sigh*....I'm done here.

You have more cars then I do and your turtle means the world to you. Do what you must kid. We are only here to help.

"FRTs have never been illegal to import into the US. They were classified under CITES II in Jan 2005. This means that export is permitted (from countries of origin) if the proper export permits are obtained. The US has placed FRTs under the umbrella of the Lacey Act which states that the US will ensure that the proper documentation accompanies this species as it arrives into the US and its territories from, and by the laws, of the countries of origin. Australia and Papua New Guinea have banned the export of FRTs. Indonesia allows the export of "captive-hatched" turtles provided the proper export permits are obtained. Indonesia also allows for the trade of FRT hatchlings from eggs collected from wild nests and considers these hatchlings as "captive-hatched". To date, there have been no quotas placed on the number of eggs collected from wild nests. (estimates of annual collections number between 1.5 and 2 million eggs). "

Quote from oddball. So with legit paperwork your all set. Search for the thread asking specifically if FRT are legal in California. Should clear up any confusion

I am going to close this pointless discussion, because FRT's and cars do not mix.

It does not need a basking spot ( only coming out of water for egg laying )

Good filtration and a high PH is a must, imho.
