Thanks bro... Anyone other opinions??? Where did the tem "Marble Line" come from? :grinno:

It is a Florida (Fl / spot if you wish) and that’s not opinion it is what it is.
"Marble line" comes from the fools who can't ID these so just make things up. It used to often denote the fish being asian cultured but I’m not so sure that is the case anymore.

It also is common for these fish to be named that in Illegal areas, Like Utah, as it is confusing (Sounds like the not prohibited or restricted Marble gar or Marble pike, A tetra species) and pretty much unknown so they (Distributors and dealers) can get away with it. (This is opinion)

Just try some tilapia or shrimp and hopefully the gar will eat it. If the bass are conditioned well, they will hit whatever touches the water, but will probably spit out anything not live at this stage, leaving it for the gar. If the gar doesn't eat the dead food, I would divide them up. The tems should be fed mostly live until they are at least 6 inches, but it certainly won't hurt if they eat some dead foods, too. Cichlids aren't the best tankmates for your gar, anyway. Hopefully it all works out. Please do not dump all the feeders in at once. Bass should be conditioned by smashing everything that hits the water so you want to add one feeder at a time, at least until they are used to doing so. That makes it easier to get them off of live food when they get a little bigger.

I've heard a lot of people refer to "Market Shrimp" as a food choice... What does that mean exactly? I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to feed them cooked shrimp... So does it mean raw shrimp shell and all or what? For the bass and gar and my aro too.

Thanks
