Where do I get rosy red minnows? I hate the mess goldfish make and I hear they are pretty much junk food anyways... I have been feeding endlers AKA feeder guppies. I need to feed something that I don't have to take out a 2nd mortgage on my house though.

u get rosy reds at ur lfs, petco, petsmart. also i have this problem so i got a chopstick and rubberbanded a toothpick on it. then i stuck a rosy red onto it through its head. then i stuck the rosy red near the fishes face and it took it. dont stick the rosy red too much on the toothpick or else the fish wont be able to yank it off

they are florida/spotted gar. I got 3 babies bout a month ago that were 3" i keep my tank full of feeders do 25 percent water changes every couple days and they are now pushing 7"
when keeping gar and pbass together,get the gars,at least,off live.
it will be much easier to feed the gars than dumping in a huge bunch of feeders which can cause problems.
try freeze dried krill.
thats how i got all my gars off live.
but dont starve.
if you do not manage to get the gars off live,seperate them into another tank and either pump them on feeders til 8 inches or so or get them off lvie.
in another tank.
pbass are extremely fast and aggressive when feeding.
they will definitely get their fill before the gar if feeding live.

Then just call them feeders and not Specify a species... A feeder snakehead is not a feeder guppy is it?
