New gas coming to your gas station; PAY ATTENTION... don't use it

This is a scary one if you have a car older than 2012.

New gas coming to your gas station; PAY ATTENTION... don't use it

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ AND DO NOT DELETE

If you like your car, please watch this short video. It's the real deal! I'm not sure how the EPA could okay something like this.....

Watch video about E15 gas if you have a car older than 2012

good heads up, but nothing too new. auto manufacturers and fuel producers have been toying with different percentages of ethanol in fuel for decades. it is nearly impossible to find fuel without any but most contain 5-10% ethanol. ethanol is a sustainable fuel and is much cheaper, but holds less energy than gasoline. the closer to the Midwest you get the more likely you will find these different mixes of fuels. ethanol has a lower octane rating than gasoline, so the more ethanol in gasoline the more likely it is to predetonate(knock) especially in higher performance motors with higher compression, turbos, and hotter cylinders.

Nice heads up Liz

E10 is very common out here and it easier to deal with at this elevation rather than at sea level, but too much can eat non-SS fuel lines, among other things. A lot of people change lines, get bigger injectors and tune their vehicles to run E85 because you can get more power out of it, which is why E100 is used in funny cars. It makes fuel mileage suffer, however.

i worry about my classic car especially.. why can't they just leave enough along.. this is just another big money deal where the public in general will suffer.

I have a few gas stations in my area that sell non-ethanol. I try to go to them whenever I can to fill up our Chevelle. It's not cheap, but it does seem to run better.

If you google "non ethanol gas station" it will lead you to them. I just did it and found a couple around my area that I was unaware of.
