That's been the key to my success though. The GATF needs targets that are expendable or he'll kill more expensive tankmates. It seems to really help having a lot of targets to spread the aggression around, too.
Once Max started eating pellets and put some size on him, he really calmed down. Instead of biting now, 95% of the time he just charges. He only very rarely bites anymore.
Sounds good. I just picked one up too and he's already mouthing and tasting pellets after watching the tinfoils.
My pleasure.
I hope you guys enjoy reading them as I did researching and writing them!![]()
I hear you on that. I've always believed in dithers with predatory fish and the Goliath is no different. He's killed a dozen zebra danios, a few tigers barbs, and one clipper barb as of today. I have no problem buying a dozen barbs every week or two to keep my dats and bass safe!
It helps to feed pellets 1-2 at a time. They seem to lose interest when there are a lot of them in the tank at one time.
Before you, I thought I had a decent grasp on tiger fish ID. Now I don't know ****!
Mike nice looking GATF!
Got the goliath eating soaked and crushed pieces of massivore. He goes nuts for it!
Nice Mike, bout time you took that thing home.
I NEED one!
Soon....very soon.
Is it really that easy gettin em eating pellets?
