They were careful not to show too much of the monster but from what I did see it resembled the Godzilla from that US movie from a few years ago.

Same here,as long as the movie is done well the monster will be fine.I was merely making an observation.

I think it looks a lot better than the '98 movie Godzilla. they are making it resemble the old fat suit which I like, except making it more realistic. not sure how I feel about that roar in the trailer though. and also I wouldn't mind if they made him a bit smaller. but I guess that's ok too since he's huge in the original. at his size though, the latest king kong would get stomped on pretty easy
