It seems as though after eating my rainbows, he doesn’t want to go back to pellets so I may have to start the process all over again. Do you guys have any advice/experience on how to ween goonch onto pellets?

That's easily the most important part. Which would you rather have, a tasteless food loaf or a fresh, juicy steak (or whatever you happen to like best)? Kinda the same thing here. He got his favorite thing, now he doesn't want anymore flavorless food loaf.

I've had luck rolling the pellets in or on a shrimp or tilapia fillet. Adds a bit of flavor to the pellet. Worked well for all my picky guys.

Can’t really advise as I don’t feed Goonch pellets, he likes mussel and whitefish fillets along with the piriaba and marmoratus he is in with.

I typically let mine go hungry and drop in some massivore. I've found them to be easy to get back onto pellets
