Cool. Mine will go from spot to spot and be in the low flow and then the high flow. This morning I found him in the high flow and I offered him a crawler. He didn't eat it but did eat some bloodworms. Will be cool to see them grow and the differences between them.
It'll be nice to see their growth comparisons. Guess we'll find out more abiutbehat species they are for sure as they grow. My guy is enjoying the current in my tank. IDK if he's eaten yet but ice left some guppies, shrimp, and pellets in there. The guppies are gone but u also have other fish in there.

Based off those pictures I'm definitely sticking with yarelli. The thing that separates it from rutilus most to me is the extremely tall adipose fin compared to the shorter rutilus and also it has round circular eyes compared to the elliptical oval shaped eyes of the rutilus. When it comes to temp, I've concluded that it doesn't matter as much as long as there is enough O2 in the water. I have 2 HLG's which are normally found in the extremely cold waters on the Himalayas living in 84F water and I have seen no problems whatsoever and other members have grown them even larger at the same temps. Also definitely expect to lose fish with these guys! If it's smaller than them and they're hungry enough they will try for it. I added a 5" wolf with my suchus and a few hours later he wasn't eaten but he was completely chewed on and shredded up and the suchus was the only one large enough to see it as potential prey with teeth able to do that. I hope you have a lot of bloodworms cuz you're definitely gonna need them to keep that guy full or expect to see more attacks.

It is eating crawlers and I tried some cut shrimp last night. I see it est the crawler. It is very actively searching for food after lights out. After dark I noticed it leaves the fast current and hits the slow current with heavy plants. In the back of the tank.

I originally thought yareli, but what made me change my mind was depending on how I looked at it the eyes didn't seem round. The first and last pic in my last pics show a bit of the oval eye I was seeing. Also right behind the head there is some orangeish coloration. Yet when I was looking at it before I took the pics I was seeing yareli and thinking that my first thought and aw3s0m3's thought of yareli were right. More time will tell for sure.

I am actually going with indochina on this one.
What makes you say this sp? Would be cool if it was but I can't see it as one. Curious as to what is pointing to to it.

When it was sitting in current corner. Now it tucked itself behind the sponge filters right were I didn't want it to sit...lol the one spot were I have to work to see it. Gonna have to move the filter closer to the glass after it changes places.
