New Grass Pikerel! (pics!)

Finally came today! And he's gorgeous! Threw some guppies in there for him when he wants them. I'll have to set the tank up better with some cover, but I'm running late to work already... figures they call me in today...
My pumpkinseed wanted to beat him up while he was in the bag... I think the story would have changed when I let him out haha (don't worry they are separated.)

Cool pics dude but a word of advice, do not leave him alone in an uncovered tank, he will jump out, if you left him in an uncovered tank while you are at work you will blocky if he's not on the floor when you come home. I love these fish and keep them regularly, I am trying to breed the very colorful version that lives where i do, very bright colors in soft black water. Keep us posted....

Thanks for the tip, half the tank is covered by the net im using as a seperator at the moment, but I will get the other side coverd, thanks for the heads up. Guess I'm lucky today... He's still there He is very cool, I can tell I'm going to like keeping these guys

Thanks! I ordered him for Sach's for a bit over $20. Prices are listed on the site.
The pumpkinseed is about an 1-1.5"s, he's grown about a .25" or .5" in the past few months, think i've had him since early Oct or really late Sep.

Thanks! I was hoping to get a redfin with him, but Paul didn't have one the right size. Whichever grows out first or whatever I can catch small enough it wont eat him, but big enough he wont eat it haha.
Hopefully the pumpkinseed grows, and they wont have to be seperated anymore, and I would love to get them both im my big native tank with the perch and channels... but they both have to grow some more before I can do that. Atleast the pikerel stays closer to the top than the rest of them
