They are looking nice. Is it just me, or are they losing their green coloration?

I just turned on the lights when I took those pictures. When they sleep their bodies are actually half black, it just takes a little time for them to color up.

Gotcha. It can be hard to judge color by a picture, that's why I asked. I'm looking forward to following their progression!

very nice fish, there is also a sudden influx of sp. LA-MAX here in the philippines, don't know if they are a hybrid or something, but they are awfully expensive! like 250USD for a 3" to 4" in diameter specimen.

Wish I could get my hands on one of those.... selective breeding I believe.

The ones I got from Rapps seem like they are getting a bit lighter... hope it's just my eyes playing tricks on me.
cuda: interestingly mine turn black on the lower part of their bodies when spooked only. They have the same green color when I turn the lights on.

yeah, i know, what i'm sayin is there is a sudden influx of these rare SD species.
