i was thinking that with w/d the scrubbies should be above water not below ??

submersed media is a good idea too.

sounds like they r ready for the 300 :D

I've ran nothing but wet/dries the conventional way up till this tank. Can't learn anything if you don't experiment with the unconventional. The current in the tank in the tank isn't normal either. Uneaten pieces of smelt get spun around in updrafts at times.

The tank also has a Fluval 405 on it, which given WC schedule should be more then enough by itself. In a few weeks the 405 will be removed and we'll see how the wet/wet filter works by itself. Below the scrubbies there are (3) 6 inch bubble disks glued to the bottom of the wet/wet to give it some dry lol. If this wet/wet concept didn't work then AC 110s wouldn't either. Same concept. :)

Getting close. In the end it'll be up to the Cynos as to whether they are big enough. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned. The Cynos have turned out to be much more scrappy then I expected. This paired with their slow growth rate, and smaller max size might not make them the greatest tankmates.

Another inch or 2 and I'll give it a try. Right now the Cynos have 2 to 3 inches on the Armatus but are almost twice as thick and tall.

stupid for trying?:screwy:
thats my dream characin setup right there bro. :clap
all the best alan!

My dream set up would be........

Odoes, Bicuda, Dorado, Cynopotomus, Armatus, and a huge shoal of widebar silver dollar dithers.

Too bad there's no way posible it would work long term.

Just have to do 3 tanks. Dorado over rays, Armatus over rays, and the rest over rays.

Rock on! Glad I'm not the only one that thinks this way. I know I still have hope. Dorado and Armatus would be a priceless sight to see in the same tank.
