Oh really, that’s the same species as the one you showed in pictures? Yours looks thicker than those for some reason. Well I’m going to have to add them to the list of fish I want then because they look simply wonderful.

Once they reach around 6in they stop growing length wise and start bulking up in girth. Also since mine is a female she will end up a bit chunkier then what a male would. They are a wonderful cat tho and very peaceful, they tend to spend most of their time hugging the bottom of the tank and attached to drift wood. They do however need a cave to spawn in just like a pleco it's just the caring portion for the eggs is different compaired to plecos.

Personally I just love how well camouflaged they are especially on drift wood/stone. They also end up with really nice streamers on the ends of their tail fin that can get upto 2in long sometimes. Usually when I find em at my lfs they are in the misc catfish tank with farowella, banjo cats, chameleon cats, random species of wood cats and rapheals. Btw tho if ya have sand in your tank and the cat is stressed it will bury itself underneath sometimes. Mine never did this except for at the store but then again that was when she was only 3in.
