New Herichthys Deppi from Gage

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well as predicted two of these guys have paired up. Their first attempt at spawning was not successful. They guarded the eggs for a little while and then split up, about a day later the female ate the eggs. Oh well, they will have more chances. Here is a pic of the female in breeding dress:

Gnuisance,I tried to reply/PM you,but says your mail box is full.I will let you know if I get the carpintis to spawn, but no pairs yet.if you end up with fry 1st and don't want wait for if/when these fish spawn...and would be willing to sell some....

I cleared it out for you. If they have a successful spawn I will let you know.

Nice looking deppii, I used to have some (group of 3). Mine ended up all females, the bigger female killed off one then I got a male and he finished the other two off before I could catch on to what was going on. Definitely an aggro fish for sure. Good luck raising them and getting some fry.

Yes they are very aggro for sure. I am really looking forward to when they get larger and color up more but I know that the aggression will continue to increase.
