Any chance you might be able to locate some more ramsdeni?
 
I would really like to find some ornatums-not sure of the genus, maybe exCichlasoma or Astraheros?
 
With the travel embargo restrictions easing up between the USA and Cuba I expect we can see some ramsdeni in the near future. Hopefully.

Ornatum are around. Though not in great numbers.
 
Just about everyone except people from the US can travel there now.

And lots of US citizens visit through Mexico.

I still remember the "jotoru" articles in TFH in the mid-90's where they took expeditions to Cuba took for ramsdeni... I have family in Cuba but not from the parts where ramsdeni are from, and people from most of the island don't seem to know about any native cichlids other than the biajaca
 
I'd just like to see some nice pictures of some of these fish that have been in captivity before. How come we don't see more H. steindachneri? I think a few were spotted when Mo, Rusty Wessel, Ken Davis et. al. went to Mexico to get some yellow labs a few years ago. I may be mistaken.
