I see your point, top markings are really breaking up, but the other spots just keep getting bigger in proportion! Go back and check what she looked like at the start of this thread! Also really turning black now, and starting to develop the small spots in between the main ones just like the dad.

I actually think this ray is that little bit different and is a real eye catcher Sam.
The changes are astounding from the first pic, those huge spots on the outer edge and great tail markings do it for me. Anything can still happen with the markings in the middle, I can see those tidying up a little more as time goes by.

The big spot effect is very henlei. That I really like.

Absolutely gutted. Came down stairs this morning to find this ray dead. just sitting at the bottom of the tank. No signs of anything. No death curl at all. All water parameters fine, and before anybody asks i check daily using both electronic and in date, liquid test kits. Ph 6.5 , NH3 0 , NO2- 0 , NO3- 30 , KH 8.
All other rays, including my three newborn pups, and fish absolutely fine in both tanks which received exactly the same water and food yesterday. Completely baffled by this one.
I might do a dissection to see if i can find anything abnormal internally, but not sure i will have time due to work deadlines.
