plus, its a man made fish, stocked for recreation, so it doesn't harm the natural fauna/ecology really by taking them. Just don't re-release them into the wild.

they are much hardier than stripers, they're almost impossible to kill!

I actuall read where if you put one into your live well or on a stringer it is unlawful to release them afterward? SO I was thinking that they may not be very hardy? Maybe there is another reason behind this?

They called them wipers (as in white bass x striper) when I used to live in Nebraska. Is yours eating yet?
