I understand your point of view and generally agree. I would tear into anyone who releases any non-native fish (man made or not) into local waterways. It's not just man-made fish that wreak havoc, take a look at Florida
. That state is over run with exotic fish and animals. It's entirely up to responsible pet owners to educate others to be equally responsible.
I personally don't own any hybrid cats, yet, but I probably will in the future. We can't control the farms/labs who produce these animals and I don't really see the harm in owning them.

If you don't mind me asking why do you hate hybrids.
There are species out there that are being threatened with extinction because they are being over fished. I see nothing wrong with crossing two species to make a new fish that we can enjoy in our aquariums. I do agree that hybrids should never be released into the wild, unfortunately people dump pure non native species in the rivers and lakes all throughout the US, so I guess hybrids can be created in the wild and not just in a lab.
Do you feel the same way about humans who are not 100% pure in one specific nationality.
