New indoor/ shed Trop' pond idea .

Think ill get that heater , seems the best i have had look at .

Shed came today , putting it up Saturday and hopfully will start the insultion on Sat ' and Sun ' then ill have to wait after Xmas to get the electrics done as my Grandad is to busy to do them before Xmas , but i can still get some money saved for the wood and pond liner and filter and waht ever else i need .

Shed is here , came flat pack , going up on Saturday and i am starting the insultion too on saturday .

Ill get pictue up when i can when there is something more to see .

so far what i have priced up is ,

shed - £225.00 ( sale price ) ( bought already ),
qoute on liner - £90.00 ish
under lay/ liner stuff - free ( left over under lay from the carpet people which have just layed a new carpet in the dinning room ) ,
uv filters - about £90.00 each
pumps - about £90.00 each
external heater - £125.00
wood for the frame of the pond - not priced it up yet ( doing that on the weekend if i have time ) .

Ill def' keep you all updated when i have started this project propely , with pictures and stuff .

What you all think about prices ? Good or Bad ?

5 Oscar ,
1 Silver Awo' but i might get another 2 to make itup too 3 ,
3 Lima Catfish ,
3 Sting Ray ,

and maybe a couple of P' Bass later on .

not sure about all the fish but
oscars are very messy eatter and i have known some to be truly evil. i have never kept them so i dont know from experience. a friend had 3 in a 300 gallon tank thier whole life together. 1 day one turned on the others and killed them in 1 hour!!!!
they were all the size of a large dinner plate

When Oscars are kept as 3's , 2 normaly pair up and the they ever start bullying the 3'ed or if the 3'ed is bigger and stronger he will start on the smaller 2 .

Kept in ever - 1 , 2 , 5 , 7 , Ect . Is better as there is less chance on pairing up and bullying and when put together when young they will get along together better than if you put Oscars together when adults , But yes they still can pair up/bully Ect . But less likely .

I have already got a 5.5/ 6inch Albino , and have just ordered 2 Tigers , 1 Red and 1 more Albino at the size of about 4/ 5inch so hopfully there will all get along fine .

Sheds up , insulating it tomorrow , no pictures as it got a little to dark for any .

Wood price - for a 7foot long peaice of 2x3inch is £2.39 each . Not bad price i guess so thinking on getting some of that for the frame and then sheets of MDF for the sides of the shed when insulated is about £7.00 for a large sheet sorry cannt remeber size but i will need a few sheets to do the sides of the sides of the shed and the sides of the pond .
