I agree, I think he has these switched around...
Bottom line...
-males will have more blue/gold scales along their body (spangling), have no to little blue on their gill plate, and a slimmer body, and a pointed dorsal.
-females will have less blue/gold scales along their body, have a lot of blue on their gill plate, and a thicker body, and rounded dorsal.
You could always post pics of them too.
